The Minister of Family and Equal Opportunities, Violante Tomás, accompanied by the Minister of Transparency, Participation and Spokesperson, Noelia Arroyo, inaugurated this afternoon the new RedMadre delegation in Cartagena.
The association thus extends the care to women with unplanned pregnancies in the Region of Murcia.
Violante Tomás thanked RedMadre for her "important work helping mothers, young people who are the most at risk of social exclusion, who are faced with an unplanned situation", and highlighted the employment assistance programs offered by the association.
More than 100 women contacted RedMadre last year for advice.
Some of them received psychological attention and accompaniment or emotional support.
In addition, they were provided with baby clothes and childcare, hygiene and food products.
During 2019, the Community, through the Ministry of Family and Equal Opportunities, will subsidize its work with 50,000 euros.
