The Factory of Subsistence of the Navy has been the best valued option to become seat of the City of Justice by the majority of collectives and political parties, gathered this morning in the Table of Justice.
The mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, has shown in this meeting that "the technical services of the Ministry of Justice, which visited Cartagena before Christmas to assess the possible sites, have issued a favorable report of the two possible options, the Factory of Subsistence of the Navy and the Naval Hospital ".
In this way, the mayor is fulfilling her commitment to inform all the groups involved of this process in a timely manner.
In addition, the first mayor explained that before the end of January, will meet again in Madrid with the political leaders of the Ministry of Justice, where he will convey the opinion expressed by the groups in this meeting.
The mayor has stressed that "at all times defend the option that has a greater consensus among all political and social sectors of Cartagena."
Ana Belén Castejón has also said that she believes that "the Navy Subsistence Factory is the most suitable option since it is central and would be planned for the short, medium and long term.
Its location, in the heart of the city, makes it a more convenient option for the displacement of those citizens who have to do some management.
The location of the Subsistence Factory has also been highly valued by most judicial groups because of its proximity to the current Palace of Justice, which would facilitate the transfer, as well as the headquarters of the Civil Guard of Cartagena and the headquarters of the colleges of lawyers and solicitors of Cartagena.
The Board of Justice has been formed by the mayor of Cartagena, the deans of the bars of Lawyers, Social Graduates and Attorneys of Cartagena, representatives of COEC, Federation of Neighborhood Associations of Cartagena, CCOO and members of all municipal political parties .
