The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, and the Councilor for Education, Mercedes García, visited the children's schools of Pozo Estrecho and La Palma.
Both have talked with the teachers and heads of the center and have checked first hand the state of the facilities of both schools.
In the case of the Pozo Estrecho nursery school, a new classroom has been opened for children from 0 to 1 year old.
This expansion of the space serves to give better benefits to the 40 children who are enrolled in the school of this town.
In the case of La Palma, the number of children enrolled in this course amounts to 42. These two centers have been remunicipalized.
Right now, Cartagena has 10 public nursery schools.
The mayor of Cartagena says she feels "happy and satisfied to see how the municipal government is committed to a public education and quality, which continues to give good results."
Castejón has made special mention to the professionals of educational centers, in recognition of their work.
The mayor of Cartagena says that they are doing the procedures to remunicipalize the school of La Aljorra.
