The municipal groups of the City of Cartagena have met with legal services this Wednesday, January 9, within the Commission of Participation, chaired by the councilor of this area, Juan Pedro Torralba, to address issues of decentralization and districts with the purpose of elaborating the regulation of Citizen Participation.
"Know if you can create new municipal boards, what autonomy would be, if they would be equal to existing ones or if the New Cities Act would change, are some of the issues addressed in the Commission meeting," said the councilor of Services Public, Citizen Participation and Celebrations, Juan Pedro Torralba.
The Bureau of Sectorial has been meeting for some time to agree on the various aspects of this new municipal regulation, and the Councilor of the Government is expected to conclude this same term.
"Impossible or difficult there is nothing if we have political will and if we leave aside the policy, the rules of Citizen Participation will be ready before the end of the legislature," said Juan Pedro Torralba.
