From January 10 to 11, the VIII International Congress of Technology, Science and Society, organized by the Nova University of Lisbon, will take place in the Portuguese capital.

Social innovation is at the center of the economic and socio-cultural transformation we are experiencing, seeking a balance towards a more just and sustainable world, and in a few years, under the advancement of digital technologies and the so-called fourth industrial revolution, it is emerging a wide variety of hybrid innovations, such as open social innovation and digital social innovation, and this growing phenomenon of hybrid innovations between social sectors in the field of technology, society and culture is opening new avenues for the joint creation of value economic and social.

In the XXI century the different religious beliefs tend to adapt to the digital 2.0 society, within a model of conversion towards the different social demands, that is why the criminologist Victor Javier Navarro Iñíguez will participate as a speaker in the development of the congress, through of the conference "The Power of Social Networks in the field of Religion", which aims to give a theoretical-practical approach to the current perspective of social networks within social marketing methods from a criminological point of view.

Undoubtedly, this process of conversion to an information model of Religion 2.0 is quite difficult, and even more so within a social model that increasingly feel less identified with religion from the doctrinal point of view.

It is vital that the information on the confrontations between the religions that historically maintain a conflict in the different countries of Europe and the Middle East, be a truthful and reliable communication, and do not aim at hatred towards a certain doctrine.

We are immersed in a moment where social networks mark the lines of exchange of basic information within the population, although sometimes prejudices may fall into the error of generating a third inquisition that provokes a hate society.

Science and religion, historically, have not gone hand in hand in their wanderings, although the science of communication and the exchange of information can be the key where the religions of greater representation (Catholicism, Judaism and Islam), and favoring respect for all kinds of beliefs.

On the other hand, it is remarkable how certain "solitary wolves" use extremists, they use this science to indoctrinate pupils, being a crime contemplated in the Spanish penal code.

Navarro is Criminologist, Tutor Professor of the National University at Distance (UNED) and performs his professional work in the Local Police of Cartagena, also participates as a contributor to the program Code 112 of 7TV, is a columnist for the newspaper La Opinion of Murcia, and collaborates in various media such as Murcia.com, Onda Regional de Murcia, Radio 4G, COPE;
