The Malbec publishing house of Cartagena, presented on Wednesday, January 2, the second volume of Foto Historia de Cartagena, the work of the Official Chronicler of the city, Luis Miguel Pérez Adán.
The act of presentation of the book took place in the Cajamurcia Foundation attended by the Councilor for Culture, David Martínez, the editor of Malbec Ediciones, Javier Salinas, and three Official Chroniclers of the city of Cartagena: Juan Ignacio Ferrández, José Sánchez Conesa and Francisco J . Frank.
All of them intervened to talk about the publication of its author: Luis Miguel Pérez Adán.
It is about 50 new stories accompanied by about 400 photographs that give continuity in an elliptical way, to a chronological and disclosing vision of the main events that took place in our city, using the images and photographs as part of an almost literary story.
In this new volume appear images that tell stories.
They are the graphic testimony of an era where a series of snapshots are discovered, turned into fragments that, when united, tell the story of a society made up of people and that is the only History.
All the images reproduced belong to documentary collections that can be found in public archives and newspaper archives and private collections, published for the first time or previously, thanks to which it has been possible to write these new chapters of Foto Historia de Cartagena.
The new volume can be purchased already in the Liberia of Cartagena, at the price of 19 euros.
