The Malbec publishing house of Cartagena, publishes the second volume of Foto Historia de Cartagena, the work of the official chronicler of the city, Luis Miguel Pérez Adán.
It is about 50 new stories accompanied by about 400 photographs that give continuity in an elliptical way, to a chronological and disclosing vision of the main events that took place in our city, using the images and photographs as part of an almost literary story.
In this new volume appear images that tell stories, graphic testimony of a time where a series of snapshots are discovered, turned into fragments that, when united, narrate the history of a society made up of people and that is the only History.
All the images reproduced belong to documentary collections that can be found in public archives and newspaper archives and private collections, published for the first time or previously, thanks to which it has been possible to write these new chapters of Foto Historia de Cartagena.
The presentation will take place on Wednesday, January 2 at 7:30 p.m. at the premises of the Caja Murcia Foundation, next to Icue de la calle del Carmen nº 1.
In the act, which is expected to attend the Councilor for Culture of Cartagena, David Noguera, will intervene the editor of Malbec Ediciones, Javier Salinas, and the author Luis Miguel Pérez Adán, in addition to the other three Official Chroniclers of Cartagena: Juan Ignacio Ferrández , José Sánchez Conesa and Francisco J. Franco.
