The councilor Teresa Sanchez attended this morning to the session of the Municipal Council of Commerce of the city of Cartagena, where all the small merchants of Cartagena are represented
The Municipal Group of Podemos supports the maximum claim of this Council that seeks to reverse the decree that allows large shopping centers to open on Sunday, since it considers that both small business owners and large multinationals should have the same competitive conditions, and both merchants and Workers must have their rest days, for labor rights, conciliation and social welfare.
For this "the Government has promised to study this proposal and try to carry it out shortly to cancel the decree that allows large shopping centers to open on Sunday," said Teresa Sanchez.
"We also support the study proposed by the Government on the pedestrianization and adaptation of downtown areas to enhance small businesses, as it is the basis of our city's economy and maintains complete families and allows youth entrepreneurship and quality self-employment. We also want to highlight the importance of promoting small commerce in the councils and neighborhoods of Cartagena, and not only in the tourist area or central area, "concluded the councilor of CTSSP.
