The seventeenth edition of the Cartagena Ephesé Christmas Tournament will be held next Saturday, December 29, in the sports city Gómez Meseguer of the Cabezo Beaza polygon.
In the tournament will participate 500 players between the categories alevín, prebenjamín and in this edition also adds the lollipop.
The tournament was presented this Wednesday, December 26, the Councilor for Sports, Manuel Mora;
the general director of Sports of the Autonomous Community, Alonso Gómez;
the vice president of Cartagena Efesé, Nicolás López and the sporting director of the same club, Leo Gómez.
The sporting event will gather about 500 athletes, as announced by the Councilor for Sports "that also come from other autonomous communities such as Valencia, Castilla La Mancha and Andalusia, among others."
The day will begin at 9:00 am on Saturday, December 29, with the parade of the 50 participating teams, concluding the seventeenth edition of the Cartagena Ephesé Christmas Tournament at 7:30 p.m. with the award ceremony of the trophies .
The mayor wanted to highlight "the excellent programming that the club performs in this tournament, where technicians and managers form a great team."
Mora also wanted to emphasize the charitable nature of the tournament "as they participate in the municipal campaign Juguetea, so that no child runs out of toys."
The categories that participate in this edition will be: alevín (11 and 12 years old), with 16 teams that will play in 4 groups, each of them with 4 teams;
prebenjamín (9 and 10 years old), with 8 teams that will play in 2 groups, each with 4 teams;
and as a novelty, this year will also participate the category with 6 teams.
