The Repsol refinery in Cartagena joins more than 40 companies and institutions in the region that have the Responsible Communication Seal awarded by the Association of Journalists of Murcia.
This quality badge is a pioneering initiative launched by the Official Association of Journalists of the Region of Murcia and certifies various aspects related to the profession.
On the one hand, that the worker who manages the press department of the companies to whom the Seal is granted is a collegiate journalist with official qualification;
and on the other, that said professional assumes the principles of the Deontological Code of the Journalistic Profession assumed by the Network of Professional Associations of Journalists of Spain.
Ethics in communication thus becomes an essential element of Corporate Social Responsibility policies of companies and an added value of their activity that ultimately benefits the society in general and that the Journalists Association of Murcia aims to promote with the Responsible Communication Seal.
In addition, in this way, should any claim arise regarding the exercise of these journalists, the case may be referred to the Arbitration, Complaints and Deontology Committee, an independent body, in charge of ruling if they have been violated or not the deontological norms of journalism.
