- The spokesman of the orange training has visited today for the second time the works and has attended to the neighbors, who have come to ask for the works to be paralyzed because they fear that the height of the houses is below the platform, problems of accessibility , or that sections are left undone.
- "We have contacted the mayor of Decentralization and municipal technicians and they have assured us that everything will be done in conditions", Manuel Padín has informed.
The residents of Isla de Buda Street in Isla Plana fear that the works for the creation of a single platform (road and sidewalks at the same level) in this road will increase the slope with the height of the houses and that will allow the entry of water every once it rains;
they are also concerned about accessibility conditions and that the works are partial and do not cover the entire length of the street.
The president of the Neighborhood Board, María Dolores Díaz, reported that this is an expense approved in the extraordinary session of this Board on November 29, under Chapter VI of the budget.
The president, member of Cs, has reported that the neighbors came to request that the works be stopped, budgeted for 40,000 euros, until clarifying and ensuring that they would not suffer damages.
Díaz has gathered the concern of the neighbors and has contacted his Municipal Group to mediate in this conflict with the City Council.
In this sense, the spokesman for Citizens, Manuel Padín, has reported that he has contacted the Decentralization Councilor, Juan Pedro Torralba, and the municipal technician responsible for the works, "they assure us that the study of the dimensions in each of the entrances to housing and that none will be at the same or lower level than the roadway, they have also confirmed that the works will reform the whole street ".
Despite this information, the orange spokesman has inspected these works on site, on December 24 and this morning to ensure "that they are carried out in conditions" and to serve the neighbors of the area and let them know that Ciudadanos will monitor their development .
During the visit, the spokesman requested the presence of the vice president of the Neighborhood Board, Luis Lozano.
