The Community is committed to Cartagena as a benchmark for Vocational Training, and it is the municipality where the training offer has expanded the most with five new cycles and 180 places, followed by Murcia (four cycles) and Yecla (three).
The General Director of Vocational Training and Special Education, Sergio López, closed the day '25 years training professionals', organized by the Integrated Hotel and Tourism Center of Cartagena (CIFP) on the occasion of its anniversary and that has meant the start of the events scheduled by the center for its 25th anniversary, was aimed at teachers, vocational students and management teams of centers where training courses of professional families of Hospitality and Tourism and Food Industries, as well as different agents social organizations and professional associations involved in the field of hospitality.
The next year the Community will incorporate the Polytechnic IES of Cartagena to the Network of Integrated FP Centers.
At present, this network is made up of four public centers, three in Cartagena (Hespérides, Carlos III and Hospitality and Tourism), and the Integrated FP Center in Lorca.
With the inclusion of IES Politécnico to the network of Integrated FP Centers.
"This type of training registers a high level of employability, since at six months 80 percent of the graduates find work," said López.
