After the communiqué that today MC has remitted on the use that the Municipal Group of Citizens in Cartagena has done on the contributions received by the Municipal Groups corresponding to the second semester of 2015 and to the exercises 2016 and 2017, the spokesperson of Citizens in Cartagena, Manuel Padín, has pointed out that "populism always acts in the same way in any territory where it is presented and one of its political keys is to hide its miseries falsely denouncing irregularities of others;
We are used to it and we do not expect anything else from the local populism of Cartagena.
Citizens reserves the right to take legal action it deems appropriate.
MC has the right and from Cs they ask him to send everything they consider appropriate to the Court of Auditors, but to publicly accuse the local spokesman of the orange training, Manuel Padín, that "he distributes sums with municipal money without providing any proof" is to go too far and in the opinion of Cs "is to step on the ground of slander and libel typified in the Penal Code."
On the consultations made by the spokesman of Cs Cartagena on the remuneration that the councilors receive without dedication exclusively in the work meetings, Manuel Padín, affirms that "the degree of demagoguery that exists in this party is scandalous;
that they try to elevate to the category of crime or illegal irregularity a question in a meeting of work with all the political representatives present seems to me something sickly, creeping and mean ".
Regarding the contributions, the Orange spokesman recalled that "from the first moment before the presentation of the justification of the expenses was consulted with the then mayor of Finance, the councilor of MC, Isabel Garcia, what was the best way to proceed , and also with the previous municipal interventionist, Myriam del Valle, and each step that has been taken has always been after consulting it previously and following its indications ".
After being required again to provide all the documentation relating to the assignments by the current municipal auditor, "this has also shown its agreement with regard to the justification provided by the Citizens Group".
"This has been the system of our Municipal Group to carry out each and every one of the justifications of the assignments, which have been validated by the previous councilor of the Treasury, the mayor of MC, Isabel García, by the previous municipal auditor, and by the current interventor, Jesus Ortuño, "assured the spokesman for Citizens who has reported this in the Finance and Interior Commission today," and so they have corroborated this statement because they were all present. "
"That's why it seems creepy, ridiculous, and very hypocritical, that today Mrs. Garcia has agreed to sign a press release from MC with these accusations when she validated the justification presented by the Citizens Group in 2016 and 2017," says Manuel Padín .
In today's Finance Committee, the spokesman for Citizens has come to propose that the allocation to the Municipal Groups be eliminated in the next legislature, which in the case of Cs Cartagena is 7,000 euros a year, "and that money is destined for example, to reward the enormous work of the presidents of Neighborhood Meetings, or any other measure that is agreed upon by all;
and thus we avoid the suspicions and defamations that some people throw up. "
For Manuel Padín, "if the MC group wants to divert attention from the doubts that other parties are still raising about the possible incompatibility or conflict of interest of its spokesperson, José López, I think there are more ethical and elegant ways to do it" .
