This morning, the spokesman of the Municipal Group MC Cartagena, José López, accompanied by the member of the Cartagena formation in the Neighborhood Board of La Aljorra, José Miguel Méndez, has taken part of the meeting of the working table of the new Municipal General Plan of Urban Planning of Cartagena.
The technicians have returned to explain that the annulment of the 2012 General Plan was due to formal reasons for the processing by the regional administration, announcing that MC will take an initiative to the Plenary to claim the CARM the expense incurred the City Council for that Plan and that it did not serve at all by its negligence and that it is studied, in addition, if the damage caused to the municipality can be demanded.
This meeting of the Bureau takes place a year and a half after the last one, held in July 2017 and in which the general coordinator of Sustainable Development, Jesús Giménez, communicated to the participants that a process of previous and extraordinary participation.
Today, MC spokesman, José López, has explained to the attendees the reasons why he set up this table from the Mayor's Office in May 2017, with the intention of implementing a true participatory process after the resolutions that left the municipality without a General Plan .
Likewise, he has stated that, since October 2017, this participation is required by Law 39/2015, even though Castejón has been granted the decision to participate in the implementation of the new General Plan.
After the meeting, Lopez regretted "Castejón's 17 months delay in this process", while he recalled that more than a year ago the mayor announced that he would have a plan in a year and a half, "something that represents another stupidity" , it is finished.
