The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, and the mayor of Celebrations, Juan Pedro Torralba, held a meeting on Wednesday with the residents of La Puebla, in which the first mayor offered to work together to make the traditional Fiesta de la Potata be declared of Regional Tourist Interest.
"The Fiesta de la Patata is already a hallmark of not only La Puebla but the entire field of Cartagena.
For this reason, because it is one of our oldest gastronomic traditions and because of the number of people that congregate every June in La Puebla, we are going to request that it be declared of Regional Tourist Interest ", explained the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón.
In this way, the intention of the City of Cartagena is to work to get this recognition that would be an important promotional tool not only for this party, but for La Puebla and Cartagena.
