The Department of Culture, together with the Municipal Data Processing Center, has presented its new website that will bring together all the contents of this subject that are scheduled from the City of Cartagena, with the aim that the information reaches all in a more efficient way.

The mayor of Culture, David Martínez, and the head of the Documentation Service of the Data Processing Center of the City of Cartagena, María Baños, were responsible for presenting this new website.

As Martinez has indicated, the new website has an agenda to see every day "more clearly and in a very visual way" all the cultural events of the different spaces and museums scheduled for a specific date in the municipality.

In addition, as pointed out by the head of the Documentation Service of the CPD, María Baños, it has been taken into account that the design adapts to different formats and media, such as mobile and tablet, "since it is proven that more than half of the searches are carried out from these supports ", pointed out Baños.

On the other hand, "with this new website we respond to the commitment acquired in the Culture and Town Halls, in what we have been working for quite some time to get a good environment in which all the cultural activities of the municipality are collected", the mayor has affirmed.

In the 'Home' of the portal you can also see the updates of Twitter, since it is the network that offers the most immediacy at the time of having to offer some information, but on the page all the social networks of the Culture area will be present. and the Youtube channel.

Accessibility has also been a factor to be taken into account in the design of the new Culture portal.

The City of Cartagena has an important commitment to accessibility, not only on the web, but throughout the city.

There is an ordinance to regulate these aspects, "so we have taken care that all information and digital content are accessible to all citizens equally", concluded María Baños.
