Grupo Orenes has launched two solidarity actions aimed at collaborating with the Hospitality Foundation of Santa Teresa de Cartagena and with the Red Cross.
In the first case, the company has delivered 500 kilos of non-perishable food that the charity will deliver to the homeless.
This initiative responds to a solidary challenge aimed at companies and institutions whose objective is to guarantee access to basic food for all those people helped by the Foundation, created in 1916.
On the other hand, Grupo Orenes has also joined the campaign 'Your rights at stake' of the Red Cross.
The purpose is to ensure that no child is left without a gift this Christmas.
Until January 5, all employees of the company can participate by delivering their new and non-military toys in the different facilities of the company.
For each toy that is obtained, Grupo Orenes will donate an additional 10 euros to the NGO.
Last year, the figure of 100 toys delivered was exceeded.
Through this project, Red Cross seeks to promote the pedagogical value and the educational importance of the toy as a tool with which children acquire knowledge and behaviors and as an element with which to work tolerance, diversity, respect and equality.
These initiatives are framed within the social actions that Grupo Orenes contemplates within its social responsibility policy and which are added to others such as the collaboration for the construction of the new Asteamur early care center in the city of Murcia, which was inaugurated a month, and that will help with the best facilities hundreds of families with children suffering from autism spectrum disorder.
Pedro García, general secretary and director of Institutional Relations of the company, remarked "that Grupo Orenes is a committed company and that it will continue to work actively to continue building a better society with equal opportunities for all."
