This was announced by the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, who was this Wednesday, December 19, at the Army Subsistence Factory with the government delegate in the Region of Murcia, Diego Conesa;
the president of the Superior Court of Justice in the Region, Miguel Pasqual del Riquelme and representatives of the Bar Association of Cartagena, after visiting the facilities of the Naval Hospital.
The mayor has indicated that the government delegate was last October with staff from the mayor's office in the Ministry of Justice to show the secretary of state the need to find a location to the City of Justice in Cartagena.
The first mayor has indicated that, after dismissing the Eroski option, technicians from the Ministry of Justice have visited the two military facilities of Cartagena today to prepare a report of suitability on both locations, in order to select one as soon as possible.
Castejón has shown his gratitude to all the agents who have collaborated loyally and in a coordinated manner and has advanced that a request is being made to the Ministry of Defense to work on the amount of the pre-assessment in order to acquire the option that the Ministry considers more suitable.
He also announced that he has convened the Bureau of Justice for next January 10, where he will be able to inform political groups and society's agents of the advances, both in the Justice reports, and in the negotiations with the Ministry. defense.
For its part, the president of the TSJ in the Region of Murcia has expressed the obvious need for judicial facilities in Cartagena so that the system does not collapse, while explaining that the decision of the location of the City of Cartagena is fundamentally technical , "although there is a very good political predisposition, both by the City Council and the government delegation," he added.
In addition, he pointed out that the fundamental thing in these times is the "union of forces and the presence of all the agents indicated to make the public service of Justice in Cartagena have the facilities it deserves".
The government delegate has emphasized the "imperative need" of the City of Justice for the proper functioning of this body and democracy, while he has expressed his desire for a decision to be made in a short time and start the processes of tender of the project.
The mayor has emphasized that the City of Justice is a priority for the City of Cartagena and that from the area of ​​Urbanism there will be agility in everything related to bureaucracy or licensing.
Finally, from the Cartagena Bar Association have indicated that the ideal option for this institution is the Army Subsistence Factory, for its proximity to the Bar Association, the College of Attorneys, the current Courts and the command of the Civil Guard, but the important thing is that a decision is made as soon as possible.
