The Local Security Board met Tuesday at the Town Hall to approve the special device to mark the Christmas holidays.
"Our goal is to ensure the safety of citizens from December 20 to January 6 and avoid possible risks.
The coordination between the National Police, Civil Guard, Local Police, Fire and Civil Protection is absolute, "said the Councilor for Citizen Security, Manuel Mora.
On the occasion of the Christmas holidays two special devices have been organized;
one on the occasion of the Cabalgata de Reyes (on January 5) and another on the occasion of the San Silvestre race (on December 31).
On the day of the Ride, more than eighty members, including Local Police, Fire and Civil Protection, will ensure the safety of the attendees and the participants.
To this we must add the ordinary device, not only Local Police and Fire, but also National Police and Civil Guard.
Similarly, on December 31, on the occasion of the traditional race San Silvestre, the ordinary device will be added 10 agents plus volunteers from the Department of Sports.
"There will also be agents looking after the security in areas where there are expected to be agglomerations as in the vicinity of the Bethlehem, in the main streets of the center or in the markets," said Manuel Mora.
The Local Board of Security was attended by the government delegate, Diego Conesa, and the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, as well as councilors Manuel Mora and Juan Pedro Torralba, as well as representatives of the different security forces.
