After confirming that the urban reform of the Plaza de la Merced remains undated and that only new archaeological interventions are planned in 2019, and that the stoppage of the works promoted in the budgets by the orange formation on Calle Beatas continues, the spokesperson for Citizens in Cartagena, Manuel Padín, has indicated that, "the culprits of the new paralyzation are not other than PSOE, MC, and the regional government of the PP because they have used this public and emblematic space as a political battlefield that has paralyzed everything , the necessary archaeological interventions, the drafting of projects, and the long-awaited urban reform, while these parties remain entrenched in regional and local administration the recovery of the square will be only a promise ".
