On December 14 and 15, the Royal and Illustrious Brotherhood of Nuestro Padre Jesús Resucitado has carried out its traditional food collection campaign, which ended this year with a total of 2,500 kilos of food -not perishable-, as well as products of cleaning and personal hygiene.
On both days, food was collected in the confraternity stores and on Saturday morning in four supermarkets in the city.
A total of 18 volunteers, mainly young people, participated in this activity.
Everything collected will be distributed in several parish Cáritas centers, among which are San Fulgencio, Santiago Apóstol (of Santa Lucía) and San Antonio María Claret.
The Big Brother of the Brotherhood of the Resurrected, Ramón Pérez Saura, values "very positively this campaign", so he hopes that the help received "allows many families in our city to have their essential needs covered in these days so endearing that they approach "
Likewise, he appreciates the generosity of the people and entities that have collaborated to achieve one of the aims of the brotherhood: to help the most needy.
