The City of Cartagena has presented this Friday, December 14, the schedule of activities for Christmas 2018/2019, which has organized the Department of Celebrations and had its starting point on Wednesday, December 5, with the opening of Bethlehem and the lighting of Christmas lights.
The presentation has been made by the councilman of Celebrations, Juan Pedro Torralba, who has indicated that for the preparation of this program, they have also had the collaboration of the areas of Education, Social Services, Culture, Youth, Sports and Commerce.
The mayor has anticipated that the public can soon see the Calle Real lit with LED lights, as well as other areas that neighbors "will already discover."
He also thanked the collaboration of companies from Cartagena such as the Employers Association of Cabezo Beaza, Repsol and El Corte Inglés, among others, which have increased their support "so that the municipality looks even more Christmas and there are more activities in our towns and cities. deputations ".
Torralba has indicated that from December 22 will start the activity The Park of the Heroes, which will be installed until January 3 several inflatables in the Plaza Heroes de Cavite from 11 to 14 hours and from 17 to 21 hours, except for December 24 and 31, where they will remain open in the morning;
and on December 25 and January 1, in the afternoon.
Torralba has stressed the importance of continuing to promote meetings between teams and has advanced workshops for children and adults, as well as storytelling, theater festivals in streets and squares, performances of magicians and the route of cribs.
In the line of decentralizing the festive activity to neighborhoods and councils also, Torralba has indicated that from the Consistory several itineraries of tourist train, parades, workshops and performances have been elaborated, and more than 40 inflatables will be installed.
