From this Saturday, December 15 and until January 3, interested companies can submit bids for the road resurfacing work and parking of the Alameda de San Antón.
This was explained today by the Councilor for Municipal Services, Juan Pedro Torralba, who recalled the need presented by this route.
"The Alameda de San Antón is one of the main arteries of the city, which connects with the Ensanche and the Plaza de España and, due to the high density of traffic it supports, the road is quite deteriorated so users have much demanded this work.
In some cases it has lost resistance due to wear and in others it has subsidence, "said Torralba.
The works to be carried out consist of the resurfacing of the entire avenue of the avenue, as well as the renewal of the pavement of the car parks, for which the roads will be repaired and repaved, maintaining the section of the street as well as the existing car parks, the uploads and downloads.
New horizontal signage will be placed and the registration covers, manholes and scuppers that are affected will be replaced.
In addition, it will proceed to the milling and subsequent reinforcement of the entire surface with the aim of not overloading the upper slab of the parking.
"Although the work was planned in the Budget, which was approved at the end of summer, due to deadlines and due to the size of this infrastructure, it was difficult to finish the project within this same year.
For this reason, we have decided to take advantage of the losses of the Financially Sustainable Investments that allow us to carry out the work at the beginning of 2019 ", said the councilor.
The amount of the work amounts to 379,994 euros and has an execution period of two and a half months, so the work will be completed in the spring of 2019.
