Some 70 students and recent graduates of Industriales and Teleco are participating in the selection tests that the company is doing in the UPCT to choose scholars for the chair that maintains with the UPCT and to employ and train future MTorres workers through the New Professionals Program (PNP).
The technician of the Area of People of MTorres, María José Candel, assures that the PNP Program is a "very important investment" of the company, for which the selection is made with the idea that after finishing the 'training', which will be most likely at the company's headquarters in Pamplona, "they will be integrated into the workforce after three months of training."
For this professional training program, MTorres plans to choose about five graduates of the UPCT.
According to Candel, the selection of scholars and recent graduates is made jointly because "they have a very similar profile."
In this process, the company passes a capacity test to applicants, reviews their CVs to see if they adapt to the needs of the company in terms of qualifications, experience, project involvement, language skills or availability and after passing that screen interview with the selected.
On the other hand, the company has granted this year about five students from Industriales and Teleco for the chair that it maintains with the UPCT.
It is estimated that the number of scholarships for 2019 will be similar, according to the director of the chair, Francisco Cavas, who says that in MTorres "they are very happy with the engineers trained at the Polytechnic of Cartagena".
