The post office service will be maintained in the towns of the municipality, as this morning has guaranteed the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, the director of zone 5 post, Blas Angel Barbadillo.
The installation of collective mailboxes will not reduce this service.
The City Council is already working with the localities that should have these new infrastructures, which are El Portús, El Mojon, Plana Island, San Ginés, La Chapineta, La Azohía, Los Madriles, Punta Brava, Estrella de Mar, Minor Islands, Mar de Cristal, Roche Alto and the Golf Course.
"From the City Council we are offering all possible help to neighbors, while we mediate with Correos, to ensure that the service will be maintained with the same guarantees as when the new mailboxes are installed," said the mayor.
In fact, the mailboxes will be located on municipal land, as the City Council has promised to the neighbors.
