In the framework of the centenary of the House of the Child, the City of Cartagena has celebrated today an act of commemoration of its charity raffle.
After that, the councilor of MC Cartagena, Francisco Calderón, criticized that "the Government of Castejón celebrates the centenary of the House of the Child, with poster included, while despising the recognition of the figure of one of its promoters, Felix Martí Alpera , which paradoxically praise in said poster ".
It should be remembered that a motion of MC, approved in June of this year, urged the municipal government to commission, through the procedure that best applies, the realization of a bust of the teacher and promoter of the Graduate Schools and The Children's House, Felix Martí Alpera, to be installed in a predominant and prominent place of access to the building of the Graduate School.
"Far from fulfilling the plenary mandate and honoring the figure of Martí Alpera, the socialist government has sent, as usual, this initiative to the cajón del olvido, something to which we must add the non-compliance of the amendment of MC to budgets of 2018 for the adaptation of the Las Graduadas building as a musealized space for the history of teaching and writing in Cartagena ", recalled the mayor of Cartagena.
Finally, Calderón has denounced that "the centenary of the Children's House puts today, once again, its lamentable state of abandonment as a result of the slovenliness and indifference of the Popular Party, which has turned this emblematic building into the symbol of its more than known policy of deception to all Cartagena. "
