The Commission of the Municipal Plan of Addictions and Addictions has met this Tuesday, December 11, in the Hall of Councilors of the Consistorial Palace, to give an account of the work that all the working tables of the City of Cartagena perform in the field of addictions
At the meeting, chaired by the mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, has been the mayor of Social Services, Mercedes García, as well as other councilors of the corporation, such as Antonio Calderón, Ricardo Segado, Manuel Padín and Pilar Marcos, and technicians from the City of Cartagena and representatives of social entities.
The Councilor for Social Services has indicated that this commission has a periodic work, which met a year ago and that on Tuesday, December 11, has returned to meet in a very large meeting, composed of about 30 people.
Garcia stressed that the meeting has gone smoothly, and that the technicians have been able to show the work they have been doing in the working tables and have fixed where we are going and what are the steps to follow from now on in the field of addictions.
The mayor has emphasized that although the Municipal Plan Commission on Addictions and Addictions is led by the area of ​​Social Services, also have a decisive role in various Councils involved, such as Youth, Sports or Education.
In addition, he highlighted the role of social entities, working from neighborhoods in this field, while it has advanced that it will continue working on the development of a new plan.
Finally, he pointed out that the working groups that act in this commission meet with assiduity and that the transmission of information to political groups and citizens will be streamlined.
