This month of December, the Municipal Archive highlights as video of the month the broadcast of the news that narrated the complicated economic situation that crossed the Cartagena football club in October 1993.
This is an interview with the captains of the team, then: Paco Sánchez and the recently deceased, Alejandro Sagarduy, which was broadcasted on the TeleCartagena news.
In this interview, the opening of a bank account was announced so that the Cartagena people could make donations and help the Efese team with them.
This graphic document is part of the legacy of the file that TeleCartagena ceded, in February 2017, to the City of Cartagena, after reaching an agreement with the Consistory.
The file that the local television gave to the City Council is composed of some 8,000 tapes in the formats UMATIC, BETACAM, DVCAM and VHS in which are images that are part of the recent history Cartagena since 1987, when TeleCartagena began its journey .
Currently, from the Consistory is working to digitize all these graphic documents, thus avoiding that this important part of the municipality is lost.
On the other hand, the document of the month is a letter, dated 1753, from King Fernando VI addressed to the Governor of Cartagena municipal, ordering compliance with all accuracy of the concordat between Spain and the Holy See of Rome.
With the initiative document of the month, the Municipal Archive aims to give visibility and prominence to the different pieces that are part of this local institution so that citizens know the history of the municipality through them.
