The Local Government Board has approved this morning an agreement with the Football Federation of the Region of Murcia (FFRM) by virtue of which the body under the Higher Council of Sports will carry out works in three sports facilities of the municipality.
Specifically, the remodeling and construction of the locker rooms will be carried out in the Municipal Stadium Sánchez-Luengo de El Algar for an amount of 78,197.99 euros;
the installation of a new irrigation system in the soccer field of the Santa Ana Industrial Park in which 32,326.90 euros will be invested;
as well as remodeling work and installation of new lighting in the Municipal Secanth Stadium of Alumbres, with an investment that will amount to 57,714.82 euros.
The three projects are now finished and the FFRM will contract the works in the coming weeks.
In exchange, the City of Cartagena will authorize the sports organization to use these facilities for a period of 4 years.
The total amount of the investment will be contributed by the Higher Sports Council through its associated body.
Within the area of ​​Sports have also approved the final resolution of granting subsidies to sports entities of the municipality, worth 545,000 euros, after dismissing the claim made to the provisional list recently published.
SUBSIDIES TO SOCIAL AND BUSINESS GROUPS
The Governing Board has also given the green light to the distribution of 40,000 euros to entities that have submitted projects for the promotion and revitalization of the business fabric of the municipality.
Likewise, the granting of grants to the Senior Clubs of Cartagena has been approved for an amount of 15,000 euros, a line of aid from which 13 clubs of the municipality have benefited.
On the other hand, the Board has given the green light to 30 scholarships to young people in the municipality within the Youth Space program 'Comprehensive Youth Care' amounting to 29,732 euros.
In the same way, the bases of the 'Extraordinary Youth' prizes of Cartagena have been approved, as well as the signing of a collaboration agreement with Aula Teatro Estudio, with the aim of programming theater classes in the schools.
Finally, it has been agreed to sign an agreement with the Association of Friends of the Municipal Archaeological Museum 'Enrique Escudero' with the intention of promoting, encouraging and supporting any cultural actions, related to the objective and activity of the Museum.
