The Sports Palace has been the stage this Monday, December 3, of the Sports Meeting We are all capable, which is part of the activities scheduled by the Department of Sports and Social Services on the occasion of the International Day of People with Disabilities.
This activity has involved about 300 people, who have had the opportunity to play sports and share experiences with other colleagues and friends of entities and groups of Cartagena.
The Department of Sports has highlighted the most emotional moments that have lived in the Sports Meeting, where club athletes have experienced the ability to excel and motivation that have been demonstrated by participants from entities such as APICES, ASIDO, PROLAM and school of education special Primitiva López.
Accompanied by their families, the participants have shown great aptitudes for the sport of indoor football, basketball, table tennis and athletics, as well as for boccia and wheelchair slalom.
The councilor of Social Services, Mercedes García, attended the event and accompanied the participants during the sports practice, observing their skills and abilities.
The councilor highlighted the success of this activity, "which has shown solidarity and the desire to overcome more than three hundred athletes who have enjoyed an incredible day."
The "Sports Encounter" has ended with the delivery of a methacrylate for participating entities and clubs that have collaborated, as well as for the TAFAD volunteers, in remembrance and thanks for their participation.
The Councils of Social Services and Sports of the City of Cartagena thanked the collaboration of participating entities and sports clubs that have made possible a day where it has become clear that We are all capable.
