The Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) today signed two new chairs to transfer applied knowledge, research and student talent to the productive sector.
With the incorporation of the Regional Federation of Metal Companies of Murcia (FREMM) and the Agropor AIE Group, there are already 38 chairs in the UPCT Network.
The FREMM joins the Network of Chairs of the Polytechnic to make available to its associated companies the technological, integral and sustainable solutions that UPCT researchers can provide, as well as to offer practical training to their students in the companies of the sector. metal in the Region of Murcia.
The Agropor AIE group will center its chair in the Polytechnic, whose responsible will be Ángel Faz, in the investigation on the integral management of the water in the porcine production.
Thus, work will be carried out on the implementation of the water footprint in the farms, on desalination and denitrification technologies, the valuation of slurry and the management of agricultural land.
The chair of Agropor will offer scholarships so that students of the UPCT begin or specialize in R & D & I projects.
