Ecovidrio, with the collaboration of the City of Cartagena, has launched the Campaign The Region of the Ecólatras, in which original, creative and innovative solutions to current environmental challenges are proposed.
Next week, from December 3 to 9, the street marketing action will be carried out in the municipality of Cartagena, to promote voting and citizen participation.
Next to the igloos of the campaign located around the city, there will be promoters with tablets and anyone can register as an Ecólatra to vote the initiative that considers that they should win the prize of 1,500 euros given by Ecovidrio.
Citizens should search for the igloos of the campaign or register at www.ecolatras.es, and within the category "The Region of the Ecólatras", they will be able to vote on the initiatives.
Among all the participants who register on the platform and vote for the projects of "The Ecólatras Region", five miniglús will be drawn with the image of the campaign.
With this new concept, Ecovidrio and the Region of Murcia bet, not only to emphasize the importance of recycling glass containers, but to defend values ​​and interests of environmental protection and the environment that surrounds us.
DATA OF RECYCLING OF GLASS IN CARTAGENA
This campaign will serve to continue raising the kilograms of waste of glass containers deposited in the containers of Cartagena.
The collection of glass of this campaign will be added to the balance of the latest collection data, which indicate that a total of 2,994,320 kilograms of glass containers have been recycled in 2017, which means that each neighbor recycled an average of 14 kilograms of this material.
Regarding the rate of containerization, Cartagena is located with an average of 204 inhabitants per container, currently having a total of 1,050 igloos for glass packaging waste installed throughout the municipality.
