The Consistorial Palace will receive sixth grade students from four schools in Cartagena, who will be the mayor or councilors of the municipal corporation during the Municipal Children's Plenary, which will be held on Tuesday, December 4, starting at 10 in the morning, in the Plenary Hall.
The educational centers that will participate in this extraordinary plenary session are the CEIP Nuestra Señora del Mar, the CEIP Poeta Antonio Oliver, the CEIP San Fulgencio (Pozo Estrecho) and the La Encarnación School.
The four centers have coincided in an issue that concerns the students and the rest of the educational community: "road safety in schools", access to the centers on foot, by bicycle, school transport or private transport both on departure as to the entrance of them.
Therefore, this will be the intervention script and the topic to be discussed in the plenary session.
In a first session, the educational centers were visited, where the teaching material was handed over to the teachers and a calendar was finalized to carry out the electoral programs and elect the political representatives.
Subsequently, the students received a presentation of a plenary session in their classrooms, and the candidates and the topics that will focus on Tuesday, December 4 were set.
In the third session, each candidate chose his team to help him in the campaign to draw up a program, the posters, as well as the slogan of his campaign, with the aim that all 6th grade students have a role in the elections .
At the next meeting, we proceeded to read and present the program of each candidate to the rest of the comrades, as well as the beginning of the electoral campaign with posters and explanation of the program, among other issues.
In the pre-plenary session, young people elect the seven candidates, of whom the most voted will be the mayor or mayor.
The 6th oldest student (president) and the youngest student (secretary) have been at the polling station.
The secretary had the census to go verifying who votes, and took the minutes at the end of the voting.
The seven most voted candidates in each school have prepared their intervention for the Municipal Children's Plenary, which will be the script document of each center, considered as the Final Motion.
The four motions and the names of the head of list are sent to the four schools that must rate the motions and send them to the Department of Education.
The student with the highest score will be elected mayor or mayor and will preside over the Municipal Children's Plenary.
The second highest voted will be the secretary, while each school will appoint a spokesperson for the day of the Plenary.
The mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, and the spokespersons of the municipal groups that are part of the corporation, will accompany the kids on this day.
