The Auditorium of the Conservatory of Cartagena witnessed on Wednesday, November 28, the last of the three concerts organized by the Youth Council and the Conservatory of Music, within the Cycle of Promotional Concert of the 'Between Strings and Metals' Contest.
This cycle of concerts is important for young people who want to make music something more, since it gives them the opportunity to face a live audience, as well as acting for the first time accompanied by a professional orchestra.
The award-winning soloists of the previous edition of 'Entre Cuerdas y Metales', accompanied by the Chamber Orchestra of Cartagena, acted before a large audience, which enjoyed the interpretation of these young talents in their respective modalities.
The event featured performances by María Dolores Cayuela Baeza (flamenco singer) accompanied by Daniel Madrid Jordán on guitar, Ángela Abraham Valero (flute), Alberto Arques Iváñez (cello), Celia Sánchez González (piano) and José Manuel Parrón García ( trombone), which put the finishing touch to this magnificent cycle of Promotional Concerts.
Among the audience that attended the concert yesterday, was the mayor of Youth, David Martinez and the director of the Conservatory, Maria Angeles Bres and councilor of the Corporation, Isabel Garcia.
Now it is the turn of the XXII edition of the Contest Between Strings and Metals, which returns one more year and that in this edition, will pay homage to the German pianist and composer Clara Schumann, on the bicentenary of her birth.
From the Department remember that the registration period will remain open until December 14 and invite all students of the Conservatories of the Region to participate in this new edition of 'Between Strings and Metals'.
