The young Cartagena Lorena Rosique Garcia was awarded at the Youth Awards of the Region of Murcia, for his project 'Vivens Hortis'.
Rosique is one of the three young people that the Council of Youth of the City of Cartagena proposed in this year's candidacy.
The mayor of Youth, David Martinez, attended and accompanied the young woman at the awards ceremony, which took place on Wednesday, November 28, at the Teatro Circo de Murcia.
Lorena Rosique has won the Social Entrepreneurship Award for her project 'Vivens Hortis', with which she seeks to educate and raise awareness about healthy organic food.
"The idea comes from the need to find my place in the field of environmental education and awareness," said Rosique when she was nominated for this award.
Beyond managing orchards, he felt the opportunity to contribute his point of view and the knowledge and experiences that his father taught to anyone who wanted to enter this world.
This project solves the problem of disinformation with regard to food, the lack of resources for self-sufficiency and the need for moments in contact with nature, explained the winner.
These are some awards with which the CARM seeks to recognize and reward actions and initiatives of young people, regardless of their scope of action, as well as public and private entities that stand out for their special impact on political, social development, economic, associative and / or cultural.
