The Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) joins the preparation of the Regional Action Plan to implement the objectives of sustainable development.
The Rector of the teaching institution, Alejandro Díaz, and the vice-rector of Campus and Sustainability, Marcos Ros, have met with the counselor of the Presidency, Pedro Rivera, who has invited the UPCT to intervene through its university community in the preparation of that document.
It is, they have explained, to promote actions such as talks, exhibitions, conferences, colloquiums, debates or fair trade activities that serve to raise awareness, awareness and dissemination of the 2030 Agenda.
According to the councilor, the objective of sustainable development number 17 is based on the achievement of alliances to achieve the other objectives, so "the UPCT, one of the main actors of the Region of Murcia, must be involved in the process" .
The rector of the UPCT recalled that just over a month ago the University created a group for the integration of sustainable development objectives in all university activities that are organized because "we must set an example. sustainable development objectives so that they have the necessary knowledge, skills and sensitivity, "he stressed.
