The Councilor for Youth, David Martínez Noguera visited last Tuesday, November 27, the Youth Exchange Ready, Steady ... Activate !, framed and co-funded by the European program Erasmus + and that is being held in the youth hostel of Canteras the week from November 23 to 29.
The coordination of this project is the responsibility of the EURONATION Association, with the collaboration of Milena and Kristjan, and European volunteers of the Youth Council of the City of Cartagena of the "Enjoy European Youth Programs in Cartagena" Project, financed by the Erasmus + Program .
For a week, 30 young people from 5 different countries - Slovakia, Spain, Estonia, Poland and Romania - live together, work and learn in a practical way about the importance of physical activity in society.
Parallel to the main learning objective of the program, these projects offer young people the opportunity to develop transversal skills such as communication in a foreign language, skills to function in an international work group, social skills or intercultural awareness.
Among the activities, sessions and workshops that are being carried out, we would highlight a practical intervention that will take place in the CEIP Fernando Garrido de Canteras, where the project participants will present certain aspects of their countries and cultures to bilingual children of different ages and ages. In addition, they will show you several of their traditional games.
