High level gymnastics returns to Cartagena to compete in the Final Phase of the League of Iberdrola Clubs, which will meet at the Palacio de los Deportes on Saturday, December 1.
The mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón;
the councilor of the Sports area, Manuel Mora;
and the president of the Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics of the Region of Murcia, María Ángeles Díaz, have been commissioned to offer all the details of the competition on Wednesday, November 28.
Castejón recalled that Cartagena is a city closely linked to this sports field, "with great experience and with a school that brings together more than 1,000 gymnasts".
For this reason, the mayor has once again welcomed "a high-level rhythmic gymnastics competition to Cartagena."
The competition will bring to the municipality more than 200 gymnasts from different parts of the country, because it is a national sporting event that will have its final point in the sports facilities of the Palacio de Deportes.
On this occasion, for the first time, the competition will host teams - it is a club championship - both first and second division.
As pointed out by the president of the Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics of the Region of Murcia, María Ángeles Díaz, a total of 28 clubs will meet at the Palace of Sports of Cartagena, of which 13 belong to the second Division and 15 will compete in the competition for the Iberdrola first division trophy.
The morning of Saturday is reserved for the celebration of the exercises of the second division teams, whose competition will start at 10:45 and will continue until 2:00 pm, at which time the trophies will be handed out to the winning teams in this category.
The 15 clubs that compete for trophies in the first division will exhibit their exercises starting at 3:45 pm and the delivery of medals is scheduled to take place at 8:00 p.m., when the competition will end.
The mayor of Sports, Manuel Mora, has invited both athletes and their companions and the public to meet at the Palacio de los Deportes "to also enjoy the cultural and gastronomic offer of the municipality."
