The meeting Steering Committee of the European project SUDOE Stop CO2 is held these days in Cartagena, organized by the Center for Energy and Environment CETENMA, with the collaboration of the City of Cartagena and the Tucarsa transport company.
Cetenma is the beneficiary of this project, which is funded by the European Regional Development Fund, whose pilot actions are being carried out at the Cartagena bus station, to make it more sustainable and energy efficient.
Specifically through innovative actions with modeling in BIM, which allows studying the energy efficiency of this building and its certification to join a network of sustainable stations that will exchange ideas and solutions.
During the meeting will show pilot experiences already carried out as the implementation of a monitoring platform for energy consumption and environmental variables and use of the building and the installation of a small photovoltaic plant for self-consumption.
The activity will take place this afternoon from 4:00 pm, with the assistance of technicians from the Government Services Area, headed by Juan Pedro Torralba, as well as the general director of Infrastructures of the City Council, Damián Pérez Olmos.
SUDOE STOP CO2
The bus and train stations in the cities of south-western Europe consume large amounts of energy and emit extremely high levels of greenhouse gases, which affects the quality of life of citizens and the image of cities.
This project wants to solve the construction deficiencies of these buildings to reduce their energy bill and environmental impact.
They also want to improve energy efficiency policies in public buildings and homes through the implementation of networks and joint experimentation.
The creation of an energy evaluation tool for transport stations through BIM systems of ecological engineering, which will determine their consumption and the solutions that must be applied.
