Javier Sánchez Serna, national deputy in the Congress, has asked the central government of the PSOE for the situation of the rehabilitation and environmental restoration plans of these two Cartagena enclaves that are so significant for the region.
They have been "forgotten" since 2011 when the project was included in the State Budget.
The deputy in the Lower House for Podemos Región de Murcia also wants to know if the works will finally start in Portús and in La Losa and if so what deadlines the government handles to carry out these actions.
Sánchez Serna said that the project "Environmental Action and Recovery of the Maritime Terrestrial Public Domain in the Portús and Losa Beach" included a series of urgent actions for this natural and scenic enclave of the Region of Murcia and the region of Cartagena.
The object of the project consisted, as explained by the deputy in the Congress, "in the widening of the beaches of Portús and Losa, and the authorization of the accesses to these beaches, since at present it is only possible to access them by passing the control of a private camping or, in a pedestrian way, crossing a path that is in a state of ruin and that is dangerous ".
Javier Sánchez Serna has detailed that this was approved in 2011, after exceeding the corresponding environmental assessment report "and although its execution was reflected in the 2011 and 2012 General State Budget projects, the actions for the recovery of Portús and the Slab have never been carried out.
Something we claim from Podemos because it is of vital importance to revitalize the region, generate employment and enhance the natural heritage of the Region of Murcia.
