The delay to improve the municipal water network in Cartagena has become a serious problem that Citizens will address in the next ordinary plenary session.
The orange formation states that the City Council, Hidrogea and Esamur have pending dozens of urgent works in sanitation, supply and channeling rainwater for a millionaire value.
Citizens will ask once again that the Water Follow-up Table be convened with a specific agenda that includes all this problems, "we will try to make that meeting serve to unravel how much we have of the surplus of Hidrogea, and we can organize and agree on a calendar of works under prioritized and technical criteria, not under the electoral whims of any party or some councilman with an unresolved emperor syndrome. "
On the other hand, Cs recalls that on March 1 of this year, the City Council announced 12 projects that the Wastewater Treatment and Sanitation Entity of the Region (Esamur) had planned to carry out urgently this year for a total investment of 871,445 ,50 euros;
in the absence of a month for the year to go, only two have been executed.
"We think it is a scandal, the PSOE described eight months ago that these projects were" urgent and necessary ", since then is silent and does not report to the residents of Cartagena, we find it unacceptable," Padrin recriminates.
For the above, Cs will take to the next plenary session a battery of questions to know the development and administrative situation of each of these projects:
1. Improvements in process control, ammonium-nitrate probes from the centers.

2. New system of mud heat exchangers in the sewage treatment plant (EDAR) of Cabezo Beaza.

The spokesman for Citizens does not hesitate to directly blame MC and PSOE for this situation, "the war that MC launched against the concessionaires has not served at all, only to delay the reduction of water (now works to declare it null and return the money to Hidrogea) and paralyze the necessary works for the maintenance and improvement of our water network, we Cartagena continue to pay for that useless and irresponsible policy of unilateral fights and decisions, and now, the weakness of a PSOE in a minority surpassed by the innumerable responsibilities of Government is not able to unclog the situation provoked by the localists in their disastrous management in 2015 and 2016. Regarding the surplus, the local spokesman of Cs Cartagena, Manuel Padín, considers that there are executions, which must be charged to this money, which can not wait any longer as the improvements in the Wastewater Pumping Station (EBAR) of the Plaza de España, "which requires expanding its capacity to substantially reduce discharges in La Algameca when there is a breakdown or heavy rains arrive, and thus end with those minimal dilutions of which Hidrogea speaks with a certain euphemism".
Manuel Padín recalled that the company's own technicians listed some of the most urgent tasks, "the renewal of obsolete networks, a storm tank in the Mandarache area to reduce the risk of flooding, start underground drilling for drafting the storm interceptor project on Salamanca Street, or provide sanitation services to Perín, Galifa and Los Beatos ".
"In addition, we can not forget the generation of employment that occurs with the execution of these works that are covered mostly with professionals from Cartagena," said Padin.

The farce of MC, his 'agreement fake'

"That agreement is a political farce, that no one is fooled, without technical criteria and the concessionaire will do nothing, that's why all the groups abstained except the populists of Podemos, because it's not serious, it's just populist propaganda," Manuel says. Padín.
