The Strategic Employment Plan that the City of Cartagena is implementing through the Agency for Local Development and Employment (ADLE), has served as an example for municipal representatives who have attended the Employment Committee of the Federation of Municipalities. "In Cartagena, although we do not have employment competencies as a local administration, we have drawn up a Strategic Employment Plan, in which all the social agents of the municipality and the regional government have participated, and which has served us precisely to adapt the training of job seekers to the needs of our companies.

During the meeting held in Madrid, the mayor has exposed and sent the rest of the FEMP members the ten strategic lines that have been launched after making a diagnosis of the employment needs of Cartagena and companies, since the The final objective is to adapt the training of citizens to the real needs of the labor market.
The Cartagena initiative has been very well received by the members of the Employment Commission of the FEMP, which also analyzed the continuing education program and the need to adapt vocational training to the reality of demand.
In addition, the proposal of the General Directorate of Industry and SMEs, of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, has been approved unanimously, for the signing of an agreement to establish the Points of Attention to the Entrepreneur to which governments could adhere premises integrated in the FEMP.
