The lower ring of the north and south funds, and the lateral one of the Cartagonova Municipal Stadium, is closed to the public this weekend.
The works for the consolidation of the slab will start next Monday and are scheduled to finish in six days, so for the next game of FC Cartagena, the entire lower ring of the field will be open to the public.
The City Council is carrying out a detailed study on the state of the football field, because it has already turned thirty years.
This study has revealed some minor damage to the structure of the lower ring, so it has been decided to proceed with its shoring to avoid further deterioration.
Once the study is completed, the City will launch a rehabilitation plan for the stadium, which will run in several annual installments.
The Councilor for Sports, Manuel Mora, has informed the president of FC Cartagena, Francisco Belmonte, so he can relocate the members who have their seats in the affected area ahead of next Sunday's game.
Belmonte pointed out that this task will be simple because there the number of subscribers is reduced.
