Yesterday, the spokesman of the MC Cartagena municipal group and general secretary, José López, and the mayor María José Soler, accompanied by representatives of MC in the Municipal Board of Perín, Juan Agüera and María Isabel Beltrán, and the coordinator of Barrios and Provincial Councils, Enrique Perez, held a meeting with groups, associations and more than sixty residents of the Perugia deputation.
In the first place, the mayor María José Soler, gave a brief summary of the actions carried out by MC from the municipal government.
José López, for his part, explained the work of MC in the Neighborhood Board of Perín, of which he held the presidency during the first two years of the legislature.
Thus, he assured that "an equitable distributive policy was carried out, distributing the budget in actions of interest to the area such as the maintenance and conservation of social premises, the replacement of services such as patching or signaling".
He also showed that "even when it was time to alternate the presidency of the PSOE, several projects were approved such as road signs or vinyls for nomination of scattered settlements and villages that, unfortunately, have not had continuity of execution. with the new socialist presidency. "
However, he recalled how, with MC in the presidency of the Board, important improvements were made in terms of infrastructures, while the PSOE "is carrying out a sectarian policy, benefiting certain nuclei according to their political profiles and focusing more in the festive and leisure environment ".
Therefore, the Cartagena spokesman said that MC will continue "claiming improvements in services and infrastructure for residents of this council, as well as the various associations that comprise it, listening and attending in person to those who request it, to solve the day by day of their needs and problems that arise. "
Among these initiatives proposed by the opposition in the Neighborhood Board are improvements in citizen security;
road safety;
sanitation for nuclei of less than one thousand inhabitants;
performances on rural roads;
highlighting the value of rural heritage;
illumination;
application of the surplus of Hidrogea in the improvement of the water service network and decentralization of meters, as well as the improvement of reception and signal quality of digital television.
José López also recalled the different actions of MC, for example, regarding the Monte de las Casillas, both in the mayor's office and in the Department of Urban Planning and Infrastructure, giving rise to an integral work and one of the most voted in the participatory budgets of 2017;
the project of replacement and conservation of asphalts in neighborhoods and councils that in Perín was translated into seven actions for several roads with more than 2 kilometers and an investment of approximately 60,000 euros, or the management by MC for the extension of the urban line n ° 6 to serve the western area, which could not start this training after the break of the government pact by the PSOE.
Future projects
Similarly, Lopez listed some of the priority actions for the future of this area: "It is necessary to plan maintenance and conservation of rural roads, access and public lighting to scattered nuclei, tourism enhance the area, create a room or public space interpretation that explains that these places were the first to provide water to the city and suburbs of Cartagena, the solution to urban development in the west and the PORN that has not completed more than 20 years to develop, manage with the Service Murciano de Salud improvements and incorporate material resources to different clinics in the area and enhance research programs with the UPCT for the recovery of native species.
The mayor of Cartagena ended by thanking the attendees for the confidence they place in MC "a party here, like you, that has shown that honest, effective politics can be done and at the service of the neighbors, our true bosses".
