As the mayor has advanced "for the government team the conservation and maintenance of the architectural heritage of the city is a priority objective, especially when it is an emblematic building that is the nerve center of the processions of Easter in Cartagena" .
This agreement responds to the policy being developed by the current Government to, in addition to continuing to value the archaeological heritage of the municipality, to do the same with the architectural.
It should be remembered that the Consistory accelerated to the maximum the procedures to grant the Bishopric the license so that the restoration works of the façade could begin within the period established by the Diocese.
