The Government of the PSOE (and before the coalition with MC) was three and a half years trying to forcibly adopt the General Plan of the PP of 2012, nullified by the courts for being a botched with all the letters: the Government insisted and insisted , first resorting to the sentences, then making an express review, now through the transitory rules ... but the cute one is still cute, and the PP Plan is still the PP Plan.
Tricks, maneuvers, juggling and several shortcuts that have served only to waste time and resources of the City.
In all cases, the Justice, the regional technicians, the lawyers of the Regional Assembly, the allegations presented by neighbors and groups and even the Legal Council of the Region of Murcia have objected, have warned of the illegalities and have prevented further go ahead with these real abuses.
Abuses of legal security, the environment, the heritage, the rational growth of the municipality ... Abuses to Urbanism and Growth with capital letters, to that growth and urbanism that benefits everyone.
And now our Mayor regrets that the Regional Government delays the procedures for transitory rules?
Does not it look like López Miras, talking about the problems and delays caused by environmental procedures?
Truly, a socialist mayor can not make those statements.
And much less can he regret if he has been losing three and a half years ... If at this point we would have an advance of the Plan, and perhaps more than that!
But no, stubbornness and friends of power always have more strength than just and reasonable decisions.
Was not it easier for the PSOE to break with the policies of the PP?
Instead of continuing to defend the pockets of promoters and big businessmen, was not it better to defend all the citizens of Cartagena?
Was not it common sense to comply with the judicial rulings and redo the General Plan from the beginning with participation and democracy?
Of course it was.
And it still is.
And we would already have a General Plan in Cartagena.
And we would design a municipality based on the general interest, thinking of the people and not the portfolio (already well bulked) of the same powerful people as always.
Well, the Government of Cartagena is due to all citizens of Cartagena, before the CROEM and the COEC.
The local PSOE could learn the lesson, and let the political servility practiced only C's and the PP.
