The General Directorate of Environment and Mar Menor and Mar Menor Maritime Station in collaboration with the City of Cartagena have presented environmental training workshops on the Mar Menor that will take place next Tuesday, November 27 at the premises of the Manga Consortium and the Monday, December 3 from 15.30 to 20.30 in the Youth Resources Classroom.
This is a project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and its objective is to inform on the protection figures of the Mar Menor, its current status.
The workshops, taught by environmental professionals, consist of two parts.
In the first part we will talk about the Mar Menor, protection figures, fauna and flora characteristics and uses and activities that develop their work in the Mar Menor.
In the second part of the workshop will address the current situation of the Mar Menor, environmental communication and how to involve people in their conservation and sustainable use, in addition to reporting on the actions that different administrations are carrying out.
These workshops are focused on people working in the Mar Menor environment and who are in some way in contact with the general public, in order to have a real and objective information on the situation of the Mar Menor and in this way be able to transmit it.
