MC will once again show its support for the Cross of the Artillery, a test organized by that detachment, to be recognized as the Best Event in the Regional Sports Awards, as proposed last year.
The MC Cartagena municipal group will present a motion at the next plenary session to remember the mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, and her government team, who continue without initiating the record of honors and distinctions for the award of the city's Gold Medal. Antiaircraft Artillery Regiment number 73 (RAAA 73), an issue that was already required by the Cartagena training on two occasions.
In this sense, the spokesman of MC, José López, regretted that "despite the request, nothing has been done to date." We are still waiting, from November 2017, to begin this file that recognizes the merits of this regiment for his constant participation in the social, cultural and sports life of Cartagena and its Region ".
Rooting of the military establishment in Cartagena
López has continued to emphasize the roots and tradition of our city with the military establishment that "all Cartagena we know, except the mayor and his Executive".

Recognition of the Cross of the Artillery
On the other hand, José López stressed that MC will once again show its support for the Artillery Cross, a sports event organized by the aforementioned unit, which is recognized as the Best Event in the next edition of the Sports Awards of the Region.
It should be remembered that last year, specifically on November 10, coinciding with the presentation of the 16th edition of the Artillery Cross, the mayor of Cartagena, Ricardo Segado, as councilor for Sports, announced the proposal for that area so that the test was recognized in the regional awards given by the General Directorate of Sports and the Regional Association of the Press.
"A candidature that did not succeed," recalled López, who concluded by saying that "as we have been able to know, it has once again been presented as the Best Event of the Region by this City Council. the Cross of the Artillery is valued as it really belongs ".
The event, which will celebrate its 17th edition on Sunday, November 18, will once again become a major sporting event through the streets of Cartagena, where thousands of participants, spectators and onlookers will gather.
