Cartagena Port of Cultures has programmed, between its diverse activities, two guided routes, with different themes, that end with gastronomic tasting.
These activities are programmed with the objective that adults and children enjoy the story in a friendly and fun way.
On Saturdays, "Cartagena under the bombs of Hitler" is an interesting route that begins in the Refuge Museum of the Civil War, where the society of the time will be explained and the reason why Cartagena had a strategic military place from the beginning of the fight.
Currently, the Refuge of the Civil War, houses the temporary exhibition of Medicine in Times of War, which shows the great advances of Spanish health heroes that managed to save thousands of lives.
During the hearing it will be explained how the threat of the use of toxic gases was present throughout the conflict and the countries that supplied masks and chemical weapons to both sides will be known.
In addition, participants will learn how the bombings of the Condor Legion implanted fear and terror in the population.
The route will continue towards the Historical Military Museum, where the military will show tanks, cannons and different weapons that countries like Germany, Italy and Russia offered nationals and republicans.
This route ends with a gastronomic tasting of typical Cartagena recipes, such as cauldron or pork cheeks stewed in red wine.

The activity "One of Romans" runs, on Sundays, the two most impressive sites of the ancient Carthago Nova.
The route begins at the Roman Theater Museum and explains the splendor and grandeur of the Roman Empire.
The route will continue to the Barrio del Foro Romano, where the Baths are located, the spectacular Atrium Building, a building for sacred feasts and the sanctuary of the goddess Isis.
This route will end with a gastronomic tasting tapa based on Apicio's Roman recipes with mojama pate with almonds and anchovies.
Route: Roman Theater Museum and Roman Forum Neighborhood.
Days: Sundays in November (18 and 25), December (2, 9, 16, 23, 30) and January (13, 20 and 27).

CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES
For the little ones, the Refuge's galleries become laboratories for fun science experiments or to play spies learning to decipher secret codes.
With the children's activity "Little Spies.
Morse Code ", which is celebrated on Saturdays, children will become real spies, looking for messages hidden in the galleries and passages of the Refugio Civil War Museum.
They will have to become incognito characters, following maps to discover the encrypted codes.
Finally, children will learn the Morse Code, through light and sound signals, essential in secret communications, allowing messages to be sent in unusual situations.

On Sundays, with "The Experiments of Doctor Doc and Marí Purí", young and old can enjoy a theatrical visit in which the crazy Doctor Doc has invented a time machine to return to the past and know the experiments of more than 100 years that changed the story.
When you reach the large gallery you will find a radiant scientist's laboratory that will teach you fun experiments that the little ones can take away as a souvenir.
A theatrical visit that aims to surprise and stimulate through two characters that will bring the history of medicine and science to children with a critical, restless and curious spirit.

A guided tour to the Museum of the Roman Theater of Cartagena with virtual reality that will allow you to immerse yourself, through virtual glasses, in the old building.
You can visualize in 360 degrees the theater as it was in its time, fly over it or see a small pampering of the time.
