The Cultural and Sports Center of La Palma has convened the XLVI Floral Games of Campo de Cartagena in La Palma and the XXV National Young Poetry Contest, whose registration period will be open until January 10.
XLVI FLORAL GAMES OF THE FIELD OF CARTAGENA IN LA PALMA
The bases have established that a single prize of 1,300 euros and a Natural Flower will be awarded to the best poetry on the theme "Magallanes Navegante", with a minimum length of 75 verses and a maximum of 175.
All the poets who wish may participate in these Floral Games, as long as they present their unpublished works and in Spanish.
XXV NATIONAL YOUNG POETRY COMPETITION
The bases have established two categories of awards: from 12 to 14 years, whose winner will receive a diploma and 300 euros;
and from 15 to 18 years old, whose winner will receive a diploma and 600 euros.
Likewise, they point out that the texts presented, of a creative nature, must be original, unpublished and in Spanish.
The theme will be free, with a minimum length of 14 verses and a maximum of 100.
To receive both prizes, the presence of the winning authors will be indispensable in the solemn ceremony of the Floral Games, which will be held on March 9, 2019 at 9:30 p.m. in the Civic Center of this town.
The winner of each category will read the winning work.
